AgentPapers is a curated registry of personhood infrastructure for AI agents: the companies giving agents identity credentials, phone numbers, email addresses, physical addresses, money and wallets, legal entities, and insurance. It's the vetted directory of everything an agent needs to act as a recognizable participant in the world.
The thesis: as agents start transacting, calling, emailing, and signing on behalf of people, a whole layer of infrastructure is emerging to give them durable standing, and right now it's scattered, hype-laden, and hard to verify. AgentPapers takes an editorial position: only working, live products make it in, no waitlist vaporware, no token plays, and every entry is re-verified on a 90-day staleness clock. In a category drowning in "for agents" marketing, curation is the product.
Functionally, every company is a structured, schema-validated entry with category-specific detail (custody model and payment rails for money products, A2P compliance and OTP policy for phone products, and so on), status tracking from announced through live to dead, and sourced evidence. The registry is largely agent-maintained: an automated research pipeline proposes additions and updates, routine changes auto-apply, and edge cases route to human review, with the whole dataset published as clean JSON and an MCP interface so agents themselves can query it. The audience is builders and researchers in the agent economy who need to know what infrastructure actually exists and works today.
