BattMap gives e-scooter and e-bike riders honest travel times and battery cost for every route. Google Maps times trips at pedal-bike speed and knows nothing about your battery; BattMap re-times routes for how your actual vehicle behaves, including on hills, and tells you what each route will cost in charge.
The thesis: light electric vehicles are a mainstream transport mode now, but mapping never caught up. Riders' two real questions, when will I actually arrive, and will I make it there and back on this charge, are unanswerable with existing tools. Range anxiety is the same adoption blocker it was for cars, at micromobility scale.
Under the hood, a rider picks their vehicle model (specs like top speed, motor power, battery capacity, and climb ability are AI-researched automatically) or sets them manually. BattMap then runs routes through a physics model, speed against grade using terrain elevation data, battery drain on climbs, regen on descents, junction stops, real-world range factors, and presents up to three alternatives on the map, typically fastest versus least battery. Accounts let riders save vehicles, places, and routes. It's live, free, and aimed at the commuters and delivery riders who make the same battery-constrained trips daily.
